Role Summary The Manager-Accounts will be responsible for end-to-end day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for the US entity/entities. This role ensures accurate books of accounts, timely month-end/quarter-end close, compliance with US GAAP, and reliable financial reporting to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities Day-to-Day Accounting

  • Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) – vendor invoice processing, payments, and vendor reconciliations
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) – invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations
  • Oversee payroll accounting coordination with HR/payroll vendor
  • Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation schedules, and capex tracking
  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring Month-End / Quarter-End Close
  • Drive timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures
  • Review and post month-end journal entries (accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, etc.)
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure supporting schedules are maintained
  • Ensure inter company transactions are recorded and reconciled (if applicable) Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and MIS reports for leadership
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Assist in preparation of board/investor reporting packages, as needed Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal/state regulations
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews
  • Support tax filings (sales tax, corporate tax) in coordination with tax advisors/CPA firm
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies/SOPs
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, if applicable Team & Process Management
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff/junior accountants
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (Sales, Procurement, HR) on accounting matters
  • Drive process improvements and automation in accounting workflows
  • Work with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP) to optimize reporting efficiency

Requirements Required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/CMA preferred)
  • 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to US accounting standards (US GAAP)
  • Strong knowledge of US accounting principles, sales tax, and payroll processes
  • Hands-on experience with accounting ERP systems
  • Working experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; experience with reporting tools a plus
  • Prior experience working with/for US-based clients or entities strongly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills to work with US-based stakeholders across time zones Work Hours
  • May require overlap with US time zones (EST/PST) for coordination with the US team/leadership
